Sunshine Blogger Award No.3

Just over a week ago one of my blogging friends Diary of a Twenty Something nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award! This is now my third nomination for this award and oh my goodness I can’t believe how many people are actually interested in what I have to say. Thank you so much Francesca! Check out her blog especially today because it’s her birthday and she deserves some birthday followers!

The Sunshine Blogger Award is an award given by bloggers to other bloggers who are positive, inspiring, and creative.

The rules are:

1.) Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you and link back to their blog

2.) Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you

3.) Nominate 11 new blogs to receive this award, and write them 11 new questions

4.) List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog

The questions asked by Francesca:

1. What/who inspired you to start a blog? I was inspired by myself to be honest and not to toot my own horn, but I had so many ideas and experiences I wanted to share with others I just had to get it down on paper somewhere.

2. Which of your blog posts so far is your favourite and why? Obviously all my posts are worth reading (self promotion), but I have to say that Signed…Anonymous is my favourite so far because I talk about why I chose to be an anonymous blog and how it doesn’t affect my blogging interactions. If you’re an anonymous blog or are interested in knowing my reasons behind being anonymous you should give it a read and see if you can relate.

3. What have you enjoyed about blogging so far? I LOVE everyone I have come across on here and the support everyone gives each other is actually overwhelming.

4. Describe yourself in 5 words. Ambitious, Creative, Motivated, Entrepreneur, No Filter (two words, one meaning).

5. If you could change anything in the world right now, what would it be? I would change how social media has become a platform for fame and hatred. I won’t go any further.

6. Your most treasured possession and why? My grandmothers gold bracelet. I wear this every day, all day. It was given to me on my 13th birthday and I treasure it.

7. What goals have you set for yourself/your blog? I hope to reach at least 1000 followers and give each and every one of them something to aspire to and a goal to aim for.

8. What have you found difficult about blogging so far? Not a lot to be honest, I think being a blogger requires a certain amount of creative flow and you either have it or you don’t to be honest. One small thing I would say is keeping up with various nominations when I have a lot of other things going on.

9. How do you unwind after a busy or stressful day? I literally sit and do nothing in front of the TV. The brain switching off time.

10. Name something on your bucket list. I need to go to Iceland and sit in a hot spring. Random, but it has to happen.

11. Describe one of the happiest days of your life! The happiest day of my life so far was when I secured my university place. At that point I knew I was going to be doing what I love for the rest of my life and I could start a fresh forgetting the past.

Loved answering these thank you so much again Francesca!

My nominees are open, I don’t want to restrict anyone from receiving this award so if you’ve read this far and want to answer my questions below then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment below and I’ll add you to my list.

My questions to you bloggers are:

  1. What colour best describes your personality? Why?
  2. What is the best gift you have ever given or received?
  3. What is your biggest fear?
  4. How many pillows do you sleep with?
  5. How many Pringles can you eat at once? Please show me images of you trying!
  6. Do you have any scars? What are they from?
  7. Who/what has been the biggest influence in your life so far?
  8. One fact that would shock anyone about you.
  9. If you could be on any TV program what would it be?
  10. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Why?
  11. If you could meet any 3 people (dead or alive) who would they be?

liebster-award

Good morning fellow bloggers!

So the other day my lovely blogger friend Zed nominated me for my 3rd Liebster Award. This award recognises new bloggers and offers interaction between others in a new manner. Firstly thank you so much for the nomination. Everyone reading this… please check out her lifestyle blog, I need to be really engaged in something when it comes to reading otherwise I get bored and move onto the next thing, but when I read her posts I have to get through to the end. If you fancy reading about what she gets up to, need some inspiration for your travels or food ideas, then head over you wont be disappointed.

THE RULES:

  • Write about the award on your blog & thank the person who nominated you. Write about their blog as well.
  • Display the award on your blog.
  • Nominate 5 to 10 blogs which you feel deserve it.
  • Let the nominees know that you nominated them.
  • Create 10 questions for them to answer.
  • Notify your nominees & provide a link to your post so that they’ll know what to do.
  • Once you’re done, come back here & comment with the link to your post so I can check out your answers.

Zed’S QUESTIONS:

  3. Where are you from? As I am an anonymous blog I wont say too much, but I live in Hertfordshire (close enough to London).

  5. What was the last movie that you watched? what did you think of it? The last movie I watched was ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2’. I always like watching this film because it reminds me of my loud family. Great watch.
  6. Describe your perfect date – This is a tough one, I’m not a very romantic kind of person, but I’d happily accept a few cocktails in Bora Bora (I don’t have high standards or anything).
  7. Is there anyone that you look up to? This may be a controversial answer, but there is a few You-tubers that inspired me to want to achieve greater things at a young age. I won’t name them, but it’s one of the factors that gives me the drive and determination I currently have.
  8. Your favourite cartoon/ tv show as a kid? why? I LOOOOOOVED the Teletubies. Obviously I must’ve had an underlying love for Nutella from an early age because of the tubby toast…even though it just looks burnt, my fat ass thought it was covered in chocolate…Tubby_Toast_Legion
  9. Whats your favourite flavour of crisps? Prawn cocktail….so good OMG!
  10. How would you describe your fashion style? Sometimes I dress like I’m going to the gym, subconsciously maybe if I dress like this I’ll lose more weight…could be onto something here.

Snippet of Motivation

Good morning fellow bloggers!

cropped-9dcd5a4711bdbddb309d24fd841de99d2.jpg

I’ve had a few days of posting about the awards my lovely blogging friends have nominated me for. I’m so appreciative to have been recognised for my writing and can’t wait to see where blogging could take me! If you’re new to these kind of awards, please go to my last few posts to read about them and you’ll see them roll in very soon I’m sure.

How do I think I was recognised for these awards?

To be honest, I don’t really know, but I’m hazarding a guess here…I pride myself on good grammar for a start, without an easy read I wouldn’t expect readers to engage with my posts. Mainly, I feel like it’s a blend of my writing style where I try to throw in a bit of humour, and the topics I choose to write about. My favourite thing about my blogging journey Is seeing the comments from people who have actually read, taken in and appreciate what I have expressed.

Is trying something new really that scary?

Sometimes yes, but how do we get anywhere if we don’t take the plunge? These things really do pay off guys. Would I have imagined receiving three blogging awards when I started three weeks ago? HELL NO…I didn’t know they even existed until I saw the elites being nominated for them. Good things come to those who wait, but they also come to those who try hard.

Just a short snippet to round up my last few days and a dash of motivation for you lovely people!

Moral: Good things can come to all of us, if you haven’t had it yet, patience and hard work!

The Versatile Blogger Award

versatile blogger

Right, so this is so awesome and I’m so happy to accept this award from one of my fellow students Non Alcoholic Student thank you so much! Their blog is humorous, relatable and such a great read, you should all head over there to check it out!

Now…the rules for this one are simple!

  • Write 7 interesting facts about yourself
  • Nominate 15 amazing bloggers for the award (In my case 11…think I need to interact with more people).

I like to think I have that many interesting things about me so lets give it a go!

  1. My lucky number is 5…I don’t know why, but when I was younger I had to do things in groups of 5! As a result, the number 5 is now the fave!
  2. I owned my own business when I was 15/16 (can’t remember which one) and have been entrepreneurial ever since.
  3. This one is debatable of how interesting it is, but I find it rather strange…all my best friends have been blonde apart from the one I have now (I go through them like I go through doughnuts, but I’m a good person I promise).
  4. I LOOOOVE doing makeup…Halloween makeup that is! Love the gore and the blood..watch this space to see what I have planned for this year, cannot wait!
  5. This is similar to my nominator’s point, but I also never received a detention or any tellings off throughout my school life (not a clue how).
  6. I hope to become a landlord and property developer in the next 3 years (maximum) because I’ve found a passion for making the neglected into the beautiful.
  7. My dream dog is a black, teacup Pomeranian…they’re so cute I can’t even cope!

I don’t know if any of you found that interesting, but there you go!

Right so my nominees are …

Little Black Dress

Phoenix’s Life

Tales of Belle

Lucie Leanne

Beautyholics

Sonia Chatterjee Banerjee

Indy Diarist

James’ Notes

My Life of Wife

Breathe Rebecca Breathe

New Lune

Leibster Award No.2

So this is my second nomination! WOW, 3 weeks in and I’ve found so many amazing people on here, so much support going round and everyone simply wants everyone to succeed. I’d like to that my blogger pal Jack of All Trade. He’s always so supportive and give me that little confidence boost I need when I post. He has a diverse blog and always offers a great read, you should all check it out.

Liebster Award

Rules for Accepting It

  • Write about it on your blog and thank the person who nominated you, write about their blog too.
  • Display the award on your blog.
  • Answer the questions give by the blogger who nominated you.
  • Write 10 new questions for your nominees.
  • Nominate 5 to 10 blogs which you feel deserve it.
  • Let the nominees know that you nominated them.”

Questions from Jack of All Trade:

  • If you are going to be renamed, what name would you choose?

I’d have to choose

  • If you are given a time machine and a chance to change one incident of your life, what would it be?

I would change the way I ate at the end of last year because I have recently been struggling with self confidence…another reason for starting my blog. I’m on the path to a better place and haven’t fallen off the diet train yet (applause).

  • What is your favorite breakfast, Lunch and dinner?

Breakfast : love a big plate of fruit, giant black grapes, slices of banana, chopped apple and a handful of blueberries.

Lunch : Has to be the basic jacket potato…with piles of cheese and butter.

Dinner : Mac and cheese…nothing else to say.

  • What is more important Money or the Moral Value? Explain

Moral value every time! Not just because I leave a moral at the end of my blog posts, but how can you get anywhere in life both people and ambition wise. Friends and family are the most important things which can only be kept with having compassion and generally not being a dick (to put it plainly)

  • List your three all-time favorite songs?

This is a tough one because I don’t actually favor any one over another, but the first song I ever loved (from the age of 5) was mambo number 5. You know if that comes on everyone’s going to be set off.

  • What scares you the most? Why?

Rejection scares me to be honest. Something I received a lot of last year when looking for a placement. It can be a huge confidence knock, but if you don’t keep trying that success won’t come around.

  • If world is going to end, on that last moment whom you want to be with?

My mum probably, my day 1…no explanation needed.

  • Some words about world terrorism.

NO…just no that’s my words

  • Do you know that you are an Idiot?

Yes obviously

  • Last but not least, how blogging enters your life and what are all the changes it made?

Blogging entered my life when I was looking for something new to start this year. I feel like having it as part of my routine give some sort of purpose. Besides the fact that seeing people enjoy what you’re writing, I hope I have helped not only myself, but others in the same boat as me.

My questions are:

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. Would you rather be rich and alone or poor and loved? Why?
  3. What’s your favorite comfort food?
  4. Gym or donuts?
  5. Do you prefer modern or traditional design? Why?
  6. What is you nickname and how did you get it?
  7. What’s you favorite Netflix series? Why?
  8. What is your ideal holiday destination?
  9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  10. How’s your day been ?

As I have already been nominated today I’m going to leave this one open for anyone who wants to get involved. Comment below and I’ll tag you in this post. Thank you again for this nomination!

Leibster Award

liebster-award

Although I don’t feel like I’ve earnt this award, I am grateful for Nonalsoholicstudent adding me to their nomination list. I think that all new bloggers deserve some recognition and should be rewarded for their expression and success as a blogger so far.

If you haven’t checked out Nonalcoholicstudent blog you need to go and have a look now, I find their blog so relatable and love reading their posts. For me I find it a challenge to sit and read something unless it’s super interesting and engaging from the beginning.

Right, fellow blogger, here are the rules for this award:

Rules

  • Create a new post thanking the person who nominated you, link their blog. Include award graphic.
  • Answer the questions provided.
  • Make a new set of 10 questions for your nominees to answer. (Sorry if they’re rubbish!)
  • Nominate 5-10 recently followed bloggers and share your post with them so they see it.

My questions from my fellow student are:

  • How are you doing today?

Well, I’m alright, stuck at work and was stuck in A&E last night for 4 hours. Apart from that I’m great!

  • What are you favourite kinds of things to write?

I love writing about my own experiences, how I overcome things and how to strive for what we want in life. The best feeling is knowing that you have inspired, motivated or even helped someone get through a tough time. YOUR words have encouraged even 1 person to do something different. I also like to write tips and experiences about what I have found out about blogging so far. I personally had to dig around to find some pointers on how to grow traffic, what to write about etc., but here I’ve put a little guide about what I’ve found Becoming a blogger.

  • What do you snack on when you’re writing?

Well, this is probably THE most boring food to ever snack on…ricecakes. I don’t know why I like them, I just do okay! They have basically no calories and you can just keep eating them without feeling bad about yourself.

  • Describe yourself in three words?

1- Ambitious, 2- Creative, 3- Selfless (without blowing my own trumpet)

  • Special Skill?

I feel like my special skill is adaptability. When it comes to people, I pick up on their traits and adapt myself to be able have a conversation, and empathise  with them.

  • What’s the silliest moment in life that you can recall?

My silliest moment…that’s a tough one when there’s so many.

Before I left to start my placement, my boyfriend, his best friend (my housemate), and myself all went to the cinema and were loving life. We arrived back at my uni house where my boyfriend opened our fridge to a 4L milk carton/bottle to fall straight out onto the floor. At this moment I’m nearly wetting myself on the floor. I get up to help clear up, only to slip straight into the fridge doing the splits in some semi-skimmed milk!

  • When have you laughed the hardest?

I think I laughed the hardest when I was in my living room with a different housemate (I had 10). She had about 5 or 6 IKEA coloured drinking glasses. Now, she’s very well known for being clumsy and breaking things. We were watching the Great British Bake Off (typical Brits). One of the contestants had dropped all of their pastries which set us both off into fits of laughter. However, she jolted her arm and knocked this glass off onto the floor where it bounced twice and then exploded where we sat in a shower of glass. (You know when you start laughing and you can’t stop so anything sets you off).

  • What’s on your bucket list?

I need to visit Iceland blue lagoon hot springs (have threatened the boyfriend). They look amazing and I just need to go there end of. Please tell me you don’t need to go here because you might need professional help.

Image result for iceland hot springs

  • If money was no issue, what would you love to do for a living?

I would love to be a professional cake taster! (I’ll make it a real job)

  • If you could be in any fictional world for a day, what would it be?

Imagine if DisneyLand was like a place where all the characters lived…that’s where you’ll find me.

My questions are:

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  3. What’s your favourite comfort food?
  4. What would be your super power?
  5. Where is your ideal holiday destination and why?
  6. What is your biggest success in life so far?
  7. What’s your most interesting hobby?
  8. What is the best purchase you have every made?
  9. What song best describes your life?
  10. If you could change your name, what would your new name be?

Finally… my nominees are:

Little Black Dress

Jack of All Trade

Unsettled student

Kartikeya Mishra

Diary of a twenty something (has recently received this award from someone else, but deserves more so here you go)

Happy blogging!
