Forever Starts Today!

Good afternoon fellow bloggers!

So yesterday as I eagerly awaited for my share of the snow fall I can safely say I was not disappointed. Within an hour, at least an inch of snow had blessed the roads surrounding me. As I drove home from work I once again was screaming for my life whilst my wheels refused to turn many a time. Anyway I live to tell the tale, but can you blame me…

One thing I do want to say is that if you happen to come across anyone who is sleeping rough, or is outside on their own in these temperatures and conditions then please call someone for help. Whether that being a charity, homeless shelter or the emergency services, they have no one and there’s already been too many deaths caused by this storm. Anyway lets stop talking about the snow as it’s all over the news I’m sure you’ve had enough.

Onto some more mouth watering topics…

Here you will see part of the result of my snow day (the rest were eaten quite quickly). Lemon and chocolate chip cookies YUM! You may be thinking this is completely irrelevant to what my blog is about. HAHA that’s where you’re wrong my friend! I’m always looking for the next big thing to invest myself in. As previously mentioned in one of my older posts I used to own a small baking business. Recently I have been trying to bring it back to life with an adult twist.

I won’t say too much, but I’ve been working on this venture a lot recently and am so excited to get it off the ground.

What are the benefits of a small venture like this?

I’m going to bullet point this one to make it even more simple:

  • It’s low cost
  • It doesn’t take up a lot of your time
  • It’s delicious
  • It doesn’t require a lot of skill
  • You can put your own twist on it to make it new

How can you do it too?

There’s so many things out there for you to do and enjoy doing. Not everything has to cost lots of money because that is usually the set back for a lot of us…right? Simply think of something you enjoy doing, or think of how you can improve an idea that’s already out there. Create your new idea, make it your own, and get yourself up and running. Honestly, if I can do it, you can too. As soon as I thought of this idea I jumped straight onto it and I work full time. No excuses!

Moral: It’s never too late to do what you were meant to do…why not start today…right now even?!

The Beast From the East

Good morning fellow bloggers!

SO! Who has heard or experienced this ‘Beast from the East’? I certainly have been in the midst of it all. Currently waiting for the big fall to come this afternoon which will be oh so fun! *rolls eyes*.

What is ‘The Beast from the East’?

You can find out and educate yourself here… The Beast from the East .

In short:

Blizzards, strong winds, drifting snow and the bitter cold has caused death and disruption as the weather system nicknamed the “Beast from the East” combined with Storm Emma to create some of the most testing weather experienced in the UK for years.

The Met Office issued a red warning – its most severe alert – on Thursday as temperatures plunged and up to 50cm (20 inches) of snow fell on high ground. Forecasters said the harsh conditions could continue in some places into next week.

So basically a red weather warning is the most severe rating that could be issued indicating that there is a risk to life and you should not travel unnecessarily. To my knowledge the two places so far to have been given the red warnings are the South of Wales and areas within Scotland. If your area falls within the red radius then you won’t be insured if you drive. BE CAREFUL EVERYONE IN ENGLAND, SCOTLAND AND WALES!

I attempted to go into work yesterday,  but I’m not going to lie if I skid in the snow I scream and start planning my own funeral. I got half way there and had to turn back after being stuck for over an hour.

Today, I braved it once again, skidding on every road my wheels touched I can safely say I may have broken my voice box. Imagine a small child on a huge roller coaster whose just had some helium and is screaming the whole time. That was me this morning, BUT I made it in and I’m proud of myself. If I see even one small flake fall past my window I’ll be out of here like Bambi on ice.

As much as I love the snow, I only love it from a distance…

Moral: STAY SAFE EVERYONE! I also really want to see everyone’s snow pictures please send me some on Twitter!
