Success…I’m Coming for You

Good morning fellow bloggers!

Anyone else feeling their motivation slowly dripping away like my ice cream did this weekend? …same.

So let’s do something to boost it back up!

What have I been doing to regain my drive for success?

Well, nothing too difficult actually. One main thing I have discovered that has really pushed me is a certain TV program. I’ve found that a lot of entrepreneurial shows are emerging recently and I’m loving it!

This particular one is called ‘Buy It Now’. The concept allows regular people like you and me to pitch a product they have invested their time and money in to create. For example, last nights episode showed a young woman who is a teacher. Her product was a non-slip fabric inner sole which supports both the back and base of your foot preventing blisters. She stands on a stage in front of 100 shoppers who have a light above their heads, if they like what they see and hear then they can turn that light green to show they’re interested.

As long as the entrepreneur still has one light left on after the price of the product is revealed, then they move onto talking to some investors of large corporations, for example, JML. So this particular woman had 40 green lights left on and went further to receive 25,500 orders from the investors. Overall, she managed to secure £225,000 in retail value of her products which is absolutely life changing.

One of the many goals I have in life is to create something everyone will love and appreciate like this. At the beginning of my year out working I was always thinking about what could be that next big idea, but the last few months I faded out of that a little bit. So, yesterday I decided to give myself a little pep talk, NO, I have to stick at this and make it my success!

How have I turned this into my motivation?

I have many notebooks, if you have been with me from the start of my blogging you will know this. In my ‘general notes’ book I began to think of problems that need solving in our every day lives, or hindrances to people. For me, this is a great way to get my creative juices flowing and come up with some cool, never seen before products. When I go back to university, I plan to take my ideas one step further and begin to make at least one a reality, so the time I spend planning everything now is vital.

For anyone who wants to do something like this, I promise you, you can do it, there’s no reason for you not to. We can always find a way to achieve what we want. Alongside studying for my final year at university I hope to have a finished or close to finished product ready to go and prove to everyone that you can be any age, at any point in your life to start something new and exciting. Why not be ambitious and start today?

If you are like me and love watching these kind of programs like the one I mentioned above, then definitely worth checking out, it’s on every weekday at 5:30pm on channel 4! (BST)

Results

Good morning peoples! How was your weekend? …I may have caved to having a creme egg, but I felt bad about it and I won’t do it again…(that means it’s okay, right?)

Anyway, I’m coming to the end of my first month trialling my new healthier lifestyle. What is keeping me going? Mainly the pair of really expensive leggings I couldn’t fit into four months ago that I tried on again yesterday which now fit! RESULTS!

Physically seeing results is one of the best feelings¬†knowing all your hard work is actually paying off and you’re doing something right! Not only do you see results in a healthier you, but in anything…a business’ turnover, studying for your exams, building new relationships…anything you’ve worked hard for will give you the results you’re hoping for.

I suppose the main thing is perseverance. Without it, how would you achieve anything? At first obviously you may not see any changes straight away, and I think this is where a lot of us go wrong. I always struggled to stay on track with eating better, and this is the first time I have seen any real changes in myself. My motivation is sky high at the moment.

How have I managed it? Why is this time different? ….Well taking it slow is a key factor in this. I haven’t been able to go to the gym because I had two operations on both of my feet about a month ago and am still recovering, however I have been doing what I can. Easing yourself into something is the best way to achieve goals you want to be long term. Once my feet have fully healed I will then go back to the gym and give myself that boost to really start showing my hard work. Typically in weight loss your rate of losing slows down as your body becomes used to routine. This is why when dieting you must make it a lifestyle change that you can uphold rather than a temporary boost. So..once I see my body getting used to my new eating plan, I will push myself in the gym to keep it going.

Moral: Slow and steady achieves results!

The First Average Post

Happy new year to everyone! Yes, this is another blog by some randomer trying to do something new in 2018. None of this ‘New year, new me’ nonsense, I’m still me and I probably won’t do anything different this year…apart from this.

Have you ever been asked by someone…’What’s your 5 year plan?’, probably over the Christmas holidays when your Nan’s wondering if you’ve got a boyfriend or girlfriend yet, or your auntie Sheila wants to know ‘whats up’ with all the new tech when shes still on the Samsung slidy uppy phone (you know the one). Well here’s to them because this is your year. Get your **** together year!

I’m here to share with you the life of an average young person with huge aspirations…because why not? Hopefully I’ll have achieved something this year to top the last and maybe, just maybe someone will be inspired to do the same.

Over the next (insert amount of time here)…or however long I can keep focused I will be looking at my ‘5 year plan’ and actually doing something about it, join me on my journey!
